How in-app trading works

SpyBot trades Solana tokens from your own SpyBot wallet on Telegram, Discord and the Web Terminal, routed through Jupiter, with a 1% fee.

Available onTelegramDiscordWeb TerminalAll plans

In-app trading buys and sells Solana tokens from the wallet SpyBot creates for you, without leaving the app that sends your alerts. Use it when an alert is still fresh, or open a trade panel for any token address and choose your amount.

What happens when you place an order

  1. You press a BUY or SELL button under an alert, or confirm an amount in a trade panel.
  2. SpyBot quotes the swap and builds one transaction for your SpyBot wallet.
  3. The route is picked for you: Jupiter when the token has a market, Pump.fun or PumpSwap while it is still on its bonding curve.
  4. SpyBot signs with your wallet key and sends the transaction to Solana.
  5. The app replaces the pending message with a receipt: the amounts, the price, the PnL when known, and a link to the transaction.

All three apps use the same wallet and the same execution code, so an order behaves the same way wherever you place it.

One wallet for your three apps

Your SpyBot wallet is the address behind 🔐 My Wallet on Telegram and Discord, and behind the wallet card on the Trading page of the Web Terminal. It is the same address on all three, and it is also the wallet that pays for your plan.

  • SOL you deposit once funds your trades on every app.
  • Positions, history and PnL are read from that one wallet.
  • A trade placed on Telegram appears in the Web Terminal history, marked with the app it came from.

A Telegram account receives its wallet when the account is created. A Discord-native account creates one with Create wallet on Discord, or Create payment wallet on the Web Terminal under Premium. An account linked to Telegram already has one.

Who holds the keys

SpyBot stores the private key of your SpyBot wallet on its servers, encrypted, and uses it to sign the orders you place. You can export it: on Telegram with 🔑 Show Private Key, and on Discord or the Web Terminal only for a Discord-native account. Exporting gives full control of the funds to whoever has the key. See Your SpyBot wallet.

The Web Terminal adds a second key, created in your browser, which signs each order request. That key is not your wallet key and cannot move funds alone. See Authorize this device.

The 1% fee

Every in-app trade pays SpyBot a 1% fee on the SOL side of the trade: 1% of the SOL you spend on a buy, 1% of the SOL you receive on a sell. The fee is a transfer inside the same transaction, so it lands with the trade or not at all.

On a buy, keep about 0.01 SOL on top of the amount for the network costs and the temporary accounts the swap creates. The trade panel shows the total as SOL needed.

Solana only

In-app trading covers Solana tokens. Alerts from Ethereum, Base, Robinhood Chain, BNB Chain and Polygon never show a SpyBot BUY button.

EVM alerts offer two other things: a GMGN link on every alert by default, and quick-buy buttons for the trading bots you already use, which are off until you turn them on. No trading bot supports Polygon, so Polygon alerts carry neither. See Wallets and chains and Buy buttons under alerts.
