Solana and EVM addresses

SpyBot detects each address's chain. One 0x address covers Ethereum, Base, Robinhood Chain and BNB Smart Chain and counts once. Polygon follows Polymarket traders.

You do not choose a chain when you add a wallet: SpyBot reads the address and knows where it lives. Solana addresses and EVM addresses then behave differently, both in what you track and in how many slots they use.

How SpyBot detects the chain

  • A Solana address is 32 to 44 characters of base58, such as vines1vzrYbzLMRdu58ou5XTby4qAqVRLmqo36NKPTg.
  • An EVM address starts with 0x and holds 40 hexadecimal characters, shortened here to 0x….
  • A Polymarket profile link, polymarket.com/@handle or polymarket.com/profile/0x…, leads to a trader's wallet on Polygon.
  • Anything else is refused. See Why a wallet can't be added.

One EVM address, four chains

A 0x… address can hold funds on many chains at once, so SpyBot tracks the same address on Ethereum, Base, Robinhood Chain and BNB Smart Chain together.

The address uses one slot in your plan, however many EVM chains it is tracked on, Polygon included. The EVM limit counts distinct addresses, not chain entries. See Plans and limits.

A Solana address is tracked on Solana only. Solana and EVM have separate limits, so a full Solana list does not block an EVM address.

Polygon, for Polymarket traders

Polygon is the sixth chain, and SpyBot never adds a pasted 0x address there on its own. A wallet joins Polygon when you paste a Polymarket profile link: SpyBot then follows the trader's Polymarket moves, and the rest of the wallet's activity on Polygon. See Polymarket traders.

What you see in each app

  1. The list shows one line per address, with its chains underneath when several apply.
  2. Press ⚙️ Settings to open a chain's own settings. A multi-chain address has one button per chain.
  1. /wallets lists each address with its chain.
  2. /chain-filter and /evm-wallet-filter take a chain option, polygon included, and so do /wallet pause, /wallet resume and /wallet rename when the address exists on more than one.
  1. Wallets shows one row per address, with the chains it covers.
  2. On the wallet page, the chain buttons switch between the settings of each chain.
  3. The chain tabs above the list filter it, Polygon included. A Polygon wallet carries the POL badge.

Per-chain notification switches

Each chain has its own switch, for the whole account. Pausing a chain stops its new alerts and leaves the other chains running. Its detailed filters are kept, and tracking and history continue.

  1. Open ⚙️ Settings from the main menu.
  2. Move between chains with the arrows: 🟣 Solana, 🔷 Ethereum, 🔵 Base, 🟢 Robinhood, 🟡 BNB Smart Chain, 🟪 Polygon.
  3. Press the row named after the chain, such as Ethereum notifications. It shows the current state, ON or PAUSED, and pressing it switches to the other one.
  1. Type /chain-filter list with the chain you want.
  2. Read one key with /chain-filter view, then change it with /chain-filter set.
  3. Editing needs the chain filter permission. Read your link with /status.
  1. Open Settings.
  2. Pick the chain with the arrows at the top of the page.
  3. Use the card named after the chain, such as Ethereum notifications, which shows Enabled or Paused, and the filters under it.

A chain switch turns its alerts off for every wallet at once. To stop one wallet on one chain, open that chain's settings for that wallet instead: Per-wallet settings.
